Shriners Circus set to bring smiles on Saturday

The Shrine Circus is coming to the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds (655 Executive Drive) on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Expect two shows featuring acrobatics, clowns, and animal performances, with proceeds benefiting the Williamson County Shrine Club and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Included in the event will be animals such as zebras, camels, horses, and buffalo. The setting will be a glow circus, with everything lit up in magical colors, and according to the organization, the show is fast-paced and guaranteed to hold the kids’ attention. As soon as one performance ends, the circus shifts immediately to the next ring, ensuring there’s no downtime and no boredom.

“There’s nothing better than seeing this circus in the SI Arena, because of the way they can change the lighting,” said Shiner’s member Denver Tolbert. “And see the circus performers swinging on the ropes with the lights shining on them… It’s going to be a glow circus this year, as it was last year, so it’s an amazing sight to see. And the little kids’ eyes? They are as big around as silver dollars.

Tickets for the event can be purchased in advance by calling Kenny George at 618-889-3326. Visit the Williamson County Shriners’ Facebook Page for more details.
